Red Run
B r a s i l

Red Run is alternative / rock band from Brazil. Everything began in 2005, when Thiago Montana and Andersson Bandini decided to create an alternative rock band, called Redrum in the beginning, and then Red Run. To compose this gang, Davy Rider, ex-drummer of a 99's punk rock band called Havana, joined the team. Many bassists came and had to go until Tony Vegas, very close friend of them and who had played in another band with Bandini, came to complete this plot.

So, they started to make a lot of shows in the Fortaleza underground and in theaters as well. In the end of that year, they recorded in only two, but furious, months the totally independent "Red Book Magazine" EP. It contains 7 tracks, including songs like "Hard Shine" and "Dead Sound", hits of a generation dimmed by the chaos and apathy produced by the day-after-day and by the hypocrisy, which kills more than any war. At that time, they released the "Hard Shine" clip, a visual delirium with references to films, like "Nosferatu", David Lynch paintings and "B" films produced by the proper director of this clip.

In 2006, this band already had a consistent basis of songs and the audience knew better this gang, which makes stoner rock, punk rock, whatever, always dirty and perverted. In the end of that year, with a lot of shows scheduled, the band goes to Teresina, Piauí, to a single presentation and the audience goes insane with the band's energy. They left there consecrated and with the sensation of fulfilled task.

At that time, Montana, Bandini, Rider and Vegas record the second EP, which were called "Acid Minds Of A Lost Youth" some time after. A bit different from the last one, the songs from the Hell stove were recorded more raw and heavy, but it was concluded only months later because of some misfortunes, like Vegas' band break out. The second clip, "Dead Sound", is released in a local TV station. It has a lot of images of shows and it was made with a minimal and basic production. When Vegas left out, Junior Börg, friend of exciting and perverse nights from the Fortaleza's underworld, was convoked.

Now, with a new and flaming blood, the band goes away playing in even more shows and promoting the new EP. But it seems that the band doesn't have luck with bassists, because Börg had to leave them. They had many shows and festivals to play, so they decided to call someone who could give blood for the band: Deivy Hell, a friend of long time and who had played with Bandini in another band. This brutal and devastating red running has in its music a beautiful and sickly melody.

Red Run mixes influences from punk rock, alternative rock, new wave, but always trying to consolidate its own sound with a little of taste from everything in the musical scene. The band objective doesn't refer exclusively to music, but, in fact, to the whole life context, underground films, and the dirty and decadent underworld which our minds can absorb. Red Run takes the intent and the essence of the soul from who taught us that Art must be made with passion.

Red Run features: Andersson Bandini (Guitar) Davy (Drums) Thiago Montana (Guitar / Vocals) Deivy Hell (Bass)
