The band Wisdom was formed in autumn of 2001. When we started, our goal was to create a band that would leave a very distinct feeling in its listeners and that the audience would leave our live gigs with the impression that they witnessed something extraordinary and special. We also want to be known and recognized all over the world. To achieve all of this we try to make sure that aside from the songs, the audibility, the stance and the performance all tend to perfection.
The music we play (wisdommetal) draws its influences from bands like Helloween, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius and Iron Maiden who paved the way for the traditional heavy / power metal, with the addition of unique solutions and catchy tunes that can give our audience an additional experience - at least we try our best to achieve this. We also pay close attention so that we don't write lyrics that are empty and meaningless, but to write ones that inspire thoughts on the meaning of the song. The whole conception of the Wisdom style is to add wise thoughts to the lyrics of the songs.
In March of 2002 we recorded a demo featuring three of our songs that draw a big response from a couple of music magazines, but the demo never had a commercial release. Trough this demo we got invited to several mayor concert events throughout the country. One of our best opportunities was the Summer Rocks festival in 2003 where we could open the show for Iron Maiden in the Kisstadion in front of an audience of 7000 people.
From that day on, we had the privilege to open shows for a few more bands from abroad including U.D.O., Saxon, Doro, Dionysus and the 20 years old Hungarian metal legends Pokolgép. Aside from this we signed a deal with the magazine Wild and from that time we attend and play most of the Motorcycle gatherings. Topping all this we got the chance to make an EP containing four songs, a video and multi medial content as an attachment for the magazine HammerWorld that made the name Wisdom recognized in the whole country. We first presented this material live on the 7th of July 2004 when we opened for the reformed legendary band Europe.
